Hey! You should visit the major cities first if you haven’t been to the North-East at all. Cities like Guwahati, Kohima, Aizawl, Itanagar, and Imphal. To be honest there’s not much to see in Tripura so you can skip Agartala. But do visit these cities as they will give you a good sense of the nuances and culture of that region. It is also a good opportunity to mix with a lot of people and understand their cultural connotations and way of life. Then you can head to other remote cities and villages like Mokochung, Longwa, Majuli, Moirang, Moreh, Dzukou valley, Ziro valley, Bomdila, Tawang, etc. Be sure to visit Sela Pass during winter when it snows, as it is one of the most beautiful mountain passes in the country. If you want to you can ping me back for more recommendations and I can even make an itinerary for you if need be. :)

Hey Gavan, Yes, you can visit North Sikkim in Feb if you want to enjoy low temperature and snowfall. I visited there in April 2018. *Famous for its beaches, nightlife and Portuguese culture Goa is rightly called party capital of India. Goa has numerous beaches and both parts beaches of Goa electrifying and party animal's heaven.
*north goa attract more people than South Goa if you love surrounded by people and touristic atmosphere then you should definitely visit North Goa. the best of them are Candolim beach, Baga ,Anjuna , Calangute,morjim ,arambol and vagator beach.
*on the other side South Goa beaches are tranquil, they have hidden peace are more clean quiet and mostly visited by foreigners the best of them are agonda, palolem, butterfly,patnem, cola beach . is also famous for its Portuguese past churches cathedral and forts whereas South Goa is heaven for wildlife enthusiasts with its distinct flora and fauna, it's a great place for nature lovers .
*Eventhough both the places are safe but still make sure you don't go to some extreme isolated parts there at nightime ,there won't be any problem in travelling in day.
*it's as safe as you make it ,stay sober,drug free,make sure lights if your rental are working,watch for many potholes and trenches in road, stop for no one except police and enjoy the nightlife fully 😊 I have a small suggestion for you ,I just checked online and found that there are some great deals for Goa available on tripoto itself, do check this link

Language won't be a constraint when its kerala as english is well understood by majority of people due to high literacy rate of state. So concluding with YES you can move ahead with the plan for varkala. Enjoy travelling!!!

Yes Varkala is like mini goa of kerala, going solo won't be any problem, I visited Varkala few months ago, 2 days will be more than enough there and language is no constraint there as you will find people easily speaking Engilsh or Hindi

The inncrowd hostel in dunlop street it a gud choice i have been there while i was in Singapore. Lots of indian eateries near by and also near by to almost all attractions.
