Definitely. it's worth visiting both the places. Specially Austria for it's Alps. It beautiful place for hiking and to visit small villages to experience the culture and traditions. But be warned it touristic high time.
If your budget is around 10k go for SONY Cybershot.
If it is 20k then go for Point and shoot camera o DSLR.
If it is 30k then Go pro.
else if it is below that, Then take out your phone and take amazing pictures.
If we think logically you cannot! It is very very and very tough for you to complete the trek solely. Remember Chadar Trek is not a joke. It is in one of the most difficult trek in India. You never know the about the weather. if you are going solely you might get logistics issue. Trek leader and respected companies have proper arrangements of any emergency and have certified trek leader and in this trek you definitely need all those.:)
It is not recommended... The Chadar Trek is one of the most difficult treks in India...The trek is 105kms journey covered in 9 days. The weather conditions are harsh and altitude ranges around 11000ft.It requires a great level of experience to understand which parts of ice to walk on.....
All the religious places have their own significance..Badrinath and kedarnath have the nature feel also..it’s spectacular in views..ujjain has heritage attached more of an old ancient city kind of...Balaji is truly reflecting the richness of a temple..visit any of these where your soul wants to connect..Ujjain is not very costly..you can get plenty of options near the temple area..check websites !!
If you are to travel wid ur grand parents,it's advisable either to travel somewhere between mid September to November or Feb- March cos the climate Wil b suitable for them.
Make sure you carry the first aid in case of any emergency...Travel to places where you can enjoy scenic view avoiding lot of trekking....
& If your grandparents are ok with a bit of hiking, places like Badrinath, Kedarnath,Mathura,Dwarka,Ujjain Wil be perfect as pilgrim visit.
or go for places like Gokarna,Ooty,Koorg, Dalhousie, Kodaikanal

You can get home stays in leh . that will be cheapest at your budget . also you can visit nubra valley , santi stupa. also if you can rent a tent that will be great because staying in valleys in tent will be the best view if you intrested in photography and cosmos .
You should reach rishikesh first then have water activity and roam around the places in rihsikesh which you wanted to cover. after that take a local transport or if you have bike then it will take 45 mins . have a hotel in dehradun then u can explore dehradoon and mussoorie
You can go to Ooty for 4D/3N .go to Banglore by bus which cost you around 600-700 per person. then hire a Innova from majestic bustand ,you can easily get it from there. the costs you around 15k including fuel charges and tollcharges. Banglore to Ooty is one best road trips ever you can see. stay at a basic hotel there. the Innova will stay with you people in the entire trip and the driver will cover all the places there. doddabetta peak
