Per person 150-200$ are sufficient if hotels payments are already done... Its better to carry cash in dollars. Cards are not accepted everywhere, also it attracts transaction charges and exchange rates are quite low.

Look for a hotel in Barlowgunj or Landour. A little away from Mussoorie, so you'll get good hotels in good rates. Also great views, and peaceful than Mall Road.

Hey dear, you can literally travel for free with Tripoto this is not a fraud but a fact. But one thing I would like to inform you this is not for easy, let me sum this up for you. See you need to earn many many credit points to travel for free, you can earn more points by taking part in the contests, being an active member on the community, publishing your trips and inviting friends as well. After you earn sufficient credit points, you caj redeem the same by booking trips from Tripoto where you can see how kuch discount you are getting for that particular package or if you are lucky enough you can enjoy the trip for free.
Hey anoushka, so yeah you can get something known as tripoto credits here, but all you have to do is post your trips or photos or videos etc, so based on the originality of the posts, you will be awarded credits, then those credits can be used to avaol discounts on tour packages throughh tripoto, right now they are working on something new, so wait till december to redeem your coins, good day ,cheers !!

3 Days are enough for Pondicherry, But you have 5 Days then no issue , follow the below things
1.Visit Auroville , Paradise Beach,Rock Beach, Serenity Beach
2.Try all the french cuisines everyday 3.Enjoy the evening at Rock Beach
Hi Isha, you can just go and explore Auroville anytime. But if you are planning to go inside Matrimandir, then you have to take prior tickets. You can get it at 7 AM in the morning, for the 8.30AM entry and also there's an afternoon slot which I'm not quite sure of. The morning time is best, not very crowded and extremely peaceful.
Hey Hi, Kodaikanal would surely be great in Dec, though the waterfalls might not look that beautiful, as they are during monsoon. You can check out these blogs to know more about Kodai and of course, since you're going solo, make sure to stay at Zostel.
As You mentioned it as a solo trip, I would suggest you to plan for your stay in a hostel... Book your stay on ZOSTEL Kodaikanal which is worth staying there
Hi Partha! Travelling over New Year's is a great idea, and Nepal perfectly fits the bill as a destination for you to usher in 2020. Depending on what kind of activities you want to partake in, Nepal has many cities which might catch your fancy. If you wish to be among the crowds and celebrate with the locals, Kathmandu and Pokhra are two cities you can look at. Buddha Bar in Thamel (Kathmandu) and Old Blues Bar in Pokhra host amazing parties on the last day of the year. Trekking is another option you can opt for, and Annapurna is the ideal mountain to climb. Sarangkot is a great spot for paragliding, and Marshyangdi is ideal for river rafting, if adventure is what you're looking forward to. Good luck and safe travels! -Eeshat
