The stadium filled in as the home ground for the Himachal Pradesh cricket crew for Ranji Trophy matches and other homegrown matches. The stadium likewise facilitated some IPL matches as a home arena for Kings XI Punjab.
The pleasant scene is novel in India as it is arranged at a height of 1,457 m over the ocean level and has the snow-covered Himalayan mountains behind the scenes. Getting to Dharamsala from the close by Kangra Airport, which is around 8 kilometers away through the bumpy landscape and the cruel winters, during which it rains and snows, is a hindrance to getting sorted out standard matches.
We visited Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium Dharamsala when we went on a trip with Make My Trip along with Dalhousie, and being the other places on our tour itinerary.
Make My Trip had arranged our accommodation at Highland Village Resort which is located at a distance of 7kms from Stadium.
We visited the Stadium around 5PM in the evening. The view of the stadium is blissful to see and has snow covered mountain behind the scene.
