The sky-touching mountains, amazing monasteries, beautiful lakes and pleasant climate which are the features that represent Ladakh. Lapped in the snow-covered fringes of the Himalayas, the land has wonderful Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. One can have the best experience of visiting Ladakh at the time of Hemis Monastery Festival. The Hemis festival is one of the biggest and the most famous religious festival of Ladakh. This festival is falling on the 10th day (called Tse-Chu in the local language) of the Tibetan lunar month. The Two-day festival marks the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava. On this day, Hemis Monastery is adorned beautifully to host the ceremony. The colourful festival showcases the beautiful handicrafts of the area. Natives also dress up in lovely traditional attires and gather in the courtyard of Hemis Monastery, which is the biggest Buddhist Monastery of Ladakh. Monks dance around the central flagpole with the tunes of drums, cymbals and longhorns. It is the time when the cold-barren desert comes to life. - Arrive in Leh by morning flight and get a transfer to the hotel
- After a welcome drink, take complete rest for acclimatisation to the height altitude of Leh (3500 meters)
- In the late afternoon, drive to the city for an orientation walk in the markets‚ followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa‚ Leh Palace
- Have dinner and overnight stay at the hotel
- After breakfast, you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway
- And start our sightseeing with Hall Of Fame (museum constructed by India Army) near Leh is worth a visit for every Indian
- Proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib at an altitude of 3600 Mtrs about 22 km from Leh was constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji
- Nestled deep in the Himalayas, a drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity
- As you move ahead from Magnetic Hills, just before Nimmu Village, there comes a famous Confluence Of Two Rivers Indus River coming from Tibet (left) and Zanskar River coming from Zanskar Valley (right)
- After visiting confluence, we head to Alchi Gompa
- After visiting Alchi, we head back towards Leh
- En route, visit Likir Monastery that houses a 25 feet Lord gold covered Buddha Statue
- Later, we drive back to Leh
- Have dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh
- Post breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley
- The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (the highest motorable road in the world)
- From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range and north to the giants of the Saser massif
- Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers
- It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas
- The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above the sea level
- Upon arrival in Nubra, we check-in to our camp/hotel in Hunder for an overnight stay
- In the evening, you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world
- A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged

- After an early breakfast, we check out from the camp or hotel
- Drive towards Hunder where you have opportunity to ride on a Bactrian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snowcapped mountains on the horizon
- On the return, stop at Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley
- Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores
- Later, we drive towards Pangong Tso via Agham & Shyok Valley
- Some of the road patches in areas are extremely tough (towards Nubra side) in terms of road conditions but no doubt the journey is very scenic!
- After crossing this adventurous part, drive further towards Durbuk & Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally, you can have a sudden view of the Pangong Lake
- Upon arrival, check-in to our camp/hotel near Pangong Lake (Spangmik Village)
- Have dinner & overnight stay at the hotel
- Spend the morning at leisure to explore the beauty of the lake
- Later, we drive back to eh via Changla Pass
- En route, visit Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism
- Further, drive towards Thiksey, an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village and another 5 km driving through a picturesque landscape we reach to Shey Palace
- Drive further to Leh
- Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel
- Spend the day at leisure to explore the destination on your own
- In the evening, you can stroll around the market place for some last-minute souvenir shopping
- Today, this tour comes to an end
- Get a transfer to the airport for a flight back home
