The following itinerary starts at pickup from Leh Airport and proceeds to places like Leh Town, Kargil – Drass war memorial, Kargil – Suru Valley, Aryan Valley, Local Sightseeings like mentioned Monasteries in & around Leh ( Shey – Thiksey – Hemis ), Nubra Valley, Turtuk, Pangong Lake, Tsomoriri lake, Tsokar Lake & sightseeings in Leh like Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace. Tour concludes at drop to Leh Airport.

Itinerary
  • ARRIVAL LEH
  • (Situated at a height of 12,500 FT /3.500 Meter above The Sea Level)
  • Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by one of our representatives and will set off to hotel in the heart of the Leh Town , rest for the day & acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. During day or evening you will meet our representative who will introduce you to the highlights of the entire tour. In the evening you will take a walk to Market and visit Shanti Stupa on the hill to get a panoramic view of Leh town. Overnight Hotel in Leh.
  • LEH – KARGIL (235 KM)
  • Early morning breakfast & drive to Kargil, enroute visiting Lamayuru Monastery –The Lamayuru Monastery in Lamayouro is one of the oldest and most significant monasteries in Ladakh. It is perched at a high altitude of 3,511 metres above sea level. Apart from being one of the largest monasteries in all of Ladakh, this Tibetan Buddhist monastery is also the oldest gompa in the region and is known as “the place of freedom” or “Tharpa Ling". reach there by lunch time. Check in at hotel, freshen up & Visit the Vijay Smarak (war memorial of Drass- Kargil) at Drass and return to Kargil. Night stay at Kargil.
  • KARGIL – SURU VALLEY EXCURSION ( 60 KM )
  • After breakfast leave for a scenic drive along with Suru river to Suru Valley, on the way visit Buddha 7m tall rock carved statue ( Maitra Budhha ) at karste khar. The place offers a grand view of the surrounding valley & the landscape. While on the way at Damsna enjoy the distant views of Nun Kun massif consists of a pair of Himalayan peaks. Nun is is measured (7135 M) one of the highest peaks in the part of Himalayan range & its neighbor peak Kun is (7077 M ). Return to Kargil . if possible (we reach kargil early by lunch time ) visit Hundurman village, the onsite Museum on site displaying aged utensils, touching personal mementos of former residents and projectiles that hit the village in the various Indo-Pakistan wars. It takes you on a Journey back in time. En route stop to catch glimpses of the current Line of Control at the ruined village of Brolma. Brolma was neighboring Village which is now abandoned but its still under Pakistani control. Return & visit Munshi Aziz Bhatt Museum of Silk Route Central Asian Trade & Kargil Artifacts. Shop in the market for Kargil Apricot, Apricot oil/jam & Pashmina Shawls. Overnight stay at Kargil.
  • KARGIL – LEH VIA ARYAN VALLEY ( 270 KM )
  • After an early breakfast leave for Leh via Batalik route enroute visiting Aryan valley villages like Garkone, Dah, Hanu lies in North-East of Ladakh, about 80km drive from kargil & 160km from Leh town. These people are variously described as descendants of the wandering troops of Alexander of macedonia, or the direct descendants of a pure Indo-Aryan tribe. After visiting the villages reach Leh by evening visiting Sangam (the confluence Indus and Zanskar Rivers, Magnetic Hill. Overnight stay in Leh.
  • LEH - NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA ( 124KM )
  • After breakfast drive towards to Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la ((The Highest Motorable Road in the World alt: 5602Mts/18390Ft). After descending from the pass, Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive at Hunder & check in at Hotel/Camps. Later visit Diskit Village & the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment) . Overnight in Hotel/Camp.
  • NUBRA VALLEY – TURTUK ( ONE DAY ) ( 160 KM )
  • After breakfast drive to Turtuk village lies 80 km away from Hunder. visit Dhothang (LOC) border view of Pakistan. Turtuk is one of the northernmost villages in India, it was under Pakistan's control until 1971. The residents of Turtuk and its adjoining villages speak Balti language along with Ladakhi and Urdu. Turtuk is the last outpost of India at Dhothang after which Pakistan-controlled Gilgit Baltistan begins. Turtuk is known for its varieties of fruits especially apricot. Return to hunder by evening. Overnight at Hotel in Hunder.
  • NUBRA VALLEY – PANGONG LAKE - LEH ( 290 KM )
  • After breakfast leave for Pangong Lake via Shayok. Along the route enjoy the scenic views of Shayok river & Karakoram Range. Reach Pangong Lake by afternoon. The lake is world highest saltwater lake situated at an elevation of 4,225 m. Extending to almost 130 km long, 1/3 of its lies in India and 2/3 in China). Have some lunch & visit the lake, walk around later leave for Leh driving across Chang La Paas at an elevation of 5360 M – one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Reach Leh by afternoon/evening, check in at Hotel. Rest & later have a leisure evening in the leh market. Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • NOTE: THIS ROUTE DEPENDS ON WEATHER CONDITIONS. IF ROUTE BLOCK OCCURS REACH BACK TO LEH & STAY OVERNIGH. NEXT DAY PANGONG LAKE VISIT WILL BE ONE DAY TRIP .
  • LEH TOWN – SHANTI STUPA – LEH PALACE
  • Since you have made a long tiring trip via shyok, we suggest you to relax for a day in Leh town before you leave for Tsomoriri the following day, meanwhile you will be visiting Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace. Overnight in Hotel at Leh.
  • LEH – TSO MORIRI VIA MAHE ( 220 KM )
  • it’s a long route you need to leave early in the morning to Moriri Lake via Chumathang – Maahe Bridge. The enroute stops will be Upshi market for snacks & refreshment, next will be Chumathang hot springs, these hot springs are said to have medicinal benefits. Reach Tso Moriri by evening. The lake is located in part of changthang plateau situated at an elevation of 4,522 m, about 26 km long & 3 - 5 km wide. Overninght stay at Hotel/camp.
  • TSO MORIRI – LEH VIA TSOKAR ( 235 KM )
  • After early breakfast visit the lake, walk around then leave for Leh via Tso kar lake –
  • Tanglangla (17582 ft ).Enroute visiting Tsokar Lake ( The smallest of the three high altitude lakes of Ladakh, lies about 50 km from Moriri lake situated at an elevation of 15,280 ft ). The total travel time will be around 7-8 hours. Reach Leh by evening. Check in at hotel. Overnight stay in Leh.
  • LOCAL SIGHTSEEING : SHEY – THIKSEY – HEMIS ( 40 KM )
  • After early breakfast you will set off for Thiksay monastery. Its looks like Potala palace of Tibet, Enroute visit Druk Pama Karpo (Rancho School), Shey Palace, Hemis Monastery (the largest & richest monasteries in Ladakh) In the evening you can stroll around the market place for some last day souvenir shopping. Overnight in Hotel at Leh.
