Langza - (Alt. 14,500 ft) - One reason is enough to visit this place and that would be to watch Buddha watching over the valley and the peaceful ambiance it creates around. I was observing what I posted below for quite some time before I headed nearer for a closure look. I have been visiting mountains and monasteries for many years now and every place has its own glory. Here the exclusive experience was the contentment.Note: During Snow all these places becomes inaccessible many at times.Komic Village - (Alt. 15049 ft) - Known to be the "World's Highest Motorable Village". The place is 9 KM away from Langza and 18 KM from KazaThe village hosted cycle racing that day which we missed by the time we reached but got to meet few people who participated. Hats-off to the adventurers who can beat the odds and come up to this place in such arid and extreme conditions.
We wake up around 6:30 in the morning. Our schedule was to drive to Dhankar Village.
On day 14 I do the most popular circuit in the Spiti Valley. I visit the highest village connected by a motorable road (Komic), highest post-office in the world (Hikkim) & the fossil village of Langza.
Langza and HikkimDue to glacier slides had to wait till the roads to Langza were cleared. The path was rugged, filled with slush, and that added loads of complexity and adventure. Getting to ride a Himalayan Enfield was simply an icing on the cake. Could not reach Hikkim as the roads were closed due to heavy snowfall.
