Sri Dalada Maligawa

Post the show, save the evening for a walk around the city and a visit to the Temple of the Tooth which is believed to house the tooth relic of Buddha himself. Unfortunately you wont get a view of the tooth as its cased inside a small gold stupa.
Overall Kandy is a great place to experience Sri Lankan culture and cuisine surrounded by a beautiful natural environment. It is well connected from bus services, trains and by roads. for local visits one can hire a taxis, local buses which starts from clock tower, three-Wheelers/tuk-tuks are cheap and a hassle-free way of seeing the greater city. They run virtually all night long or even Rent a Scooty bike as this will be the best option around LKR 2000 per day.Kandy's main attraction included The Temple of the Tooth, The Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya, New Ranweli Spice Garden, The Tea Museum etc.

Day5: Travel to Kandy and spend a day visiting the Tooth Relic Temple and peace pagoda. Enjoy the elephant safari, red shell coconut water and local Tiger beer. Day 6: Reach Colombo and spend a daytime buying local teas and watching the parliamentary buildings. Cinnamon Red hotel offers a landscape view from its top floor open café (non-members cannot order till 5 pm). It very cheap and sunset from the infinity pool should not be missed. Marina and Bellagio casinos are good for late night entertainment. You can also choose to visit Negombo beach and buy local wooden antiques. Alternatively, there is a wide range of beach cafes and restaurants to spend a good evening.

There is a temple known as ' temple of the tooth relic' which is extremely beautiful and a declared UNESCO world heritage site. Hire a private taxi to reach Kandy as there are many stop over attractions on the way. it would be much easier if you are given the liberty to explore around such an exquisite place.
