My friend and I were planning to take a weekend trip in Matheran when one of my colleagues suggested this hotel. We checked out the pictures and the reviews and were expecting a decent place. But but, the place was far more cosy and beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and clean. It had all the amenities. Each room opened into a verandah and had chairs kept right outside the door. The feel of the place was nice. Many people were Reading books, drinking wine or just chilling with their kids. There was a common room also which had books and games. Evening snacks were served in the verandah, while dinner was served in the dining room. There were tea, coffee, cookies and veg pakodas for snacks. The dinner had a set menu and was decent in taste. The staff was courteous and warm and were attending to all requests promptly. The property is truly in the lap of the nature. It's walking distance from a waterfall and is located slightly far from the man Matheran market. One can either choose to walk or hire a horse. It was raining when we reached there so we decided to walk all the way and it was not bad at all. It was like walking in a forest with streams at every corner.Point to note: There was no TV, no WiFi, no phone signal; However there was one landline phone and WiFi at the reception which we used to make phone calls.
