Visit to Tirumala -Tirupathy

Tripoto
19th Sep 2017

It was 3rd weekend of September , Me and my friends decided to visit Tirumala and pay tribute to Lord Venkateshwara. We were total 3 friends travelled from Bangalore to Tirupati , we got Friday night bus to go tirumala-tirupati to accomplish our wish to see Lord Venkateshwara and we started our journey .

I was very excited to offer my hair to Lord Venkateshwara and So in last i was only one who Tonsured my head .

Giving Hair in Tirumala , is a promise or vow given to the lord to offer him something, in some cases hair , in return for a favour received from him. In Tirumala, there is a long tradition of tonsuring the head in return for a favour received from the lord. The sprititual reason of Giving Hair in Tirumala is:- Hair adds beauty to one's personality and enhances vanity. Giving up hair is like letting go your ego and attachment to it which I am sure all know is not easy. Hence the inner significance of the ritual of head tonsure is to offer your ego and vanity at His lotus feet.

Tirupati is located in Indian state of Andrapradesh , this place is famous for its Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and the Lot of Pilgrimage Temple .
