One of the most amazing landmarks and tourist spots built in India in the 21st century. Situated near the Narmada river, the statue is truly magnificent and stands tall. Coming to the area statue itself, there are 3 components, first is the viewing gallery at 135m, second is the museum depicting the critical role Sardar Vallabhbhai played in India's history as well as his early life and the third area is near the foot of the statue.
The viewing gallery gives some amazing views of the entire surroundings in 360 degrees. Plus, from the inside, you can also get to see the construction as to how the statue was built. Typically 15 mins are more than sufficient here. On the ground floor is the museum. The museum besides depicting history and all also has some interesting activities for kids such as quiz on India's History through computers and also an area to take any pledge for the nation.
At the foot of the statue, you can get good views of the river as well as click some photos of the statue from the very base to get some amazing angles, especially for photographers. All in all, this is a superb place and is a must-visit destination if you are in Gujarat and especially in and around Vadodara.
