Day 1

On 20th November, we start our journey to Dalhousie vacation.At very early morning, from Mumbai International Airport(CSIA),we departed to New Delhi International Airport (IGIA) through Air India Flight scheduled at 7am.

Once we landed to New Delhi at morning 9:30 am,we went on search for hotel room for at least 5 hours since we arranged HSRTC Bus from Kashmiri Gate ISBT Bus Station schedule on night 8:30 pm. Luckily we got hotel room for 5 hours at Hotel Rove New Delhi Airport with Rs. 500/- excluding food services which was really worth for us. It was located at Mahipalpur and booked through Booking.com.

By evening,having complete sleep and lunch ,we moved to Kashmiri Gate ISBT bus station. We already booked Volvo bus ticket for New Delhi to Dalhousie through Red Bus App.It cost us around Rs. 1400/- per person.Volvo Bus seating was extremely clean and comfortable. Apart from bus travel to Dalhousie, there is also Air flight option i.e New Delhi - Pathankot and then cab or bus from pathankot to Dalhousie.But we choose Bus travel option considering cost saving.

Day 2

Next morning at 7:30 am,we reached at Dalhousie travelling through steep valley,snake loop hill road and mesmerizing mountainous view with morning sun rise kiss. Temperature outside at Dalhousie was almost 6 -7 degree with beautiful sunny day light.

We checked in to Grand View Hotel which is located just near to Dalhousie Bus stop.we were already booked the room through Make My trip App.we booked early coz my cousin,who also join with us at Dalhousie, booked the same hotel and booking I received was very last room.Booking cost for 3 days including free breakfast and Dinner was Rs,14500/-.

Grand view Hotel is old vintage hotel since british colonial era.Builded on Deodhar wood which does not get infected.you can watch out the complete details on Grand View Hotel and dalhousie local food at our Youtube Channel " Gouri-Roshan " .

Dining in the majestic British Style Multi- cuisine “Tiffins” Restaurant is an enriching experience. Besides the largest Restaurant in Dalhousie we are also proud of “Summit”, the largest and only Centrally Heated Conference Hall in Dalhousie.

After having breakfast from Grand View Hotel's Restaurant " Tiffins" ,we walked through to Subhash Chowk/Subhash Baoli for Sight seeing and wandering to nearby restaurants.from there,we started our blogging activity for our Youtube Channel. for youtube video on Dalhousie's Best place to visit , Checkout our youtube link below.

Next day, we and cousin with his wife,started our Dalhousie tour with our own made travel itinerary list.We booked local cab to take us multiple locations.As per our Itinerary time table

Day 3 : Khajjiar Lake, Beeji 's Park and Kalatop park

Day 4 : Panchula waterfall,Chamera Lake

Before Reaching to Khajjiar park, we stopped at Bakrota Hill for beautiful Sight seeing.Its worth to watch beautiful Pir Panjal Range and surrounded Green Lashed Valley.

After enjoying the sight seeing and fun photo shoot with rabbits,we depart to Khajjiar park, which is also called " Mini Switzerland of India " .

It was Clear Sunny Lake with Cold Breeze throughout.In the shadow of the snow-covered Himalayas, Khajjiar Lake is the most spectacular of lakes. Surrounded by cedar forest, the lake is located at an elevation of 1920 m. The small water streams of the Himalaya act as a source for the Khajjiar Lake. One can also visit the Khajinag temple which features fine wood carvings and a gold dome.

The lake is a popular tourist spot of Khajjiar where people can enjoy numerous recreational activities or can enjoy the beauty of the landscape. The site is perfect to spend some moments of solitude far away from the hustle and bustle of the modern crowd. It offers peace and tranquillity to the visitors.

Along with an ambience of Greeney garden and lake, there are option to enjoy there every moments. There you can have adventurous ride with " Para Gliding" or "Rolling Ball ".Also you can enjoy their professional Photographer from various angle and also can try their local Himachali Dresses

After enjoying the moments at Khajjiar park, we moved on to Kalatop wildlife sanctuary. To kalatop Wildlife sanctuary, you can visit by Trekking or by car with toll charges.

Kalatop hill is Surrounded full of Deodhar (Cedar ) wood tree and various species of Animals.It lies along the river Ravi and has a rich forest cover. It has a wide variety of animal species like bear, leopard, jackal, and langur and bird species like Eurasian Jay, Black Headed Jay, and the Black Bird.

This high altitude forest area is located at an average elevation of 2,500 meters above sea level and offers stunning views of thick pine, deodar, and oak forests.Trekking is the best way to explore the beauty of this forest, which is why the tourists come here in the months of October to March to catch a glimpse of snow covered valleys and dense forests.

Its a park dedicated to Mothers hence named as a Beejis Park. Missile, Fighter jets, Tanks and some more things are placed here and its a cantonment area hence few of them are not accessible.

Overall a good visit if you are going to Khajjiar from Dalhousie

Day 4

On Next Day,we departed to panchpula waterfall straight from Grand View Hotel.

Panchkula Waterfall is a nice picnic spot, where you can spend some time with your family and friends and enjoy the loveliness of exotic waterfalls and refreshing streams. Some of these streams even contain medicinal properties that are helpful in healing skin diseases. The Panchpula is a scenic place, which is surrounded by picturesque mountains and green valleys and is only three kilometers from the main city of Dalhousie

Beside Scenic view, there are shop for amazing handloom handicraft associated with govt recognised Kashmiri Handloom Handicraft. their winter products like Winter Blankets,Shawls , Carpet and ethnic clothing are really worth to buy. we bought three winter blankets,2 ethnic cloth pieces and Beautiful Carpet at all over Rs 8000/-. We paid 1/3 of payment and paid remaining once received the material thru courier.I would really recommend to buy those. Pictures are share below

Once we done sight seeing and ladies lengthy and frustrating (Only mens will understand :) ) shopping,we moved to Chamera Lake for enjoying boat ride.

Chamera lake is actually dam builded on River Ravi.The reservoir formed due to the Dam of Chamera I Hydro Electric Project on the River Ravi and Baira Siul is known as Chamera Lake.

Chamera lake must visited place full of nature and enjoyed boating 400/- per person but it’s worth. Also visited bhalai mata famous temple 6 km near to it.Camera lake is on the route of Dalhousie to Chamba.
