Day 1
After a frenzied beginning to our Spanish sojourn in Madrid, we moved onto Andalusia starting with Cordoba. A high speed AVE from Madrid took us a little under two hours to arrive at Cordoba. As we moved towards our hotel, the modern city melted away behind us to reveal an ancient world of narrow cobbled alleyways, Arabic baths, garden eateries. We had entered the Juderia - the Jewish quarters which housed the unique mosque turned church star attraction of Cordoba - The Mezquita.
