Day 2

It was around October and my friends and all started to thinking about new year plan. Where to celebrate? What to do? One of my friends has always talked about to visit Jim Corbett. So we thought lets goto Uttrakhand. After deciding place and we had booked our tickets two months in advance. So we started our journey from Pune for one of the best place of India- Nainital . We took early morning flight around 6.30 AM from Pune to reach Delhi. From Delhi we took a bus to reach Haldwani nearest station to Nainital. You can take train too but than station should be Kathgodam. I prefer bus over train hence reached via Haldwani. You will get too many option to reach cab/bus that will charge you around Rs 300 and 7-8 hours to reach Nainital. Make sure to be ready for little sick motion due to high altitude. After reaching Nainital its all worth-what a beautiful city and the lake right center of the city is the insanely beautiful. After reaching hotel and freshen up it was almost night around 8 so i thought to have city walk. Visited mall road, had momos, Maggie and all sorts of hot street food served with so much love. It was so cold like 6 degree needed 3 layers of clothing :p. Next day i decided to explore city so booked a cab for Rs 700 and been to places like Tiffin Top, Naini Lake, Snow View Point, Naina Devi Temple, Himalayan View Point, Pangot, and Khurpa Tal. These All places can be covered in a day if you start early in the morning. Don't forget to shop at Mall Road in Nainital to get best of woolens.

Day 3

on next day we decide to do some adventure and ride a bike to cover the some lakes (Tal's in Hindi) Bhimtal, Satal, and Nakuchital. So we left from Nainital around 10 AM started our journey towards Sattal. Another gem near Nainital, road, mountains, people everything felt so right there. Its like a little sister to nainital who haven’t got much popularity but its no less than Nainital. A lake and boat ride. Wow!! What an experience it was. For their headed to Bhimtal and ohh man it like as altitude increase so is the beauty of place. A shiva temple, another lake with all mountains around it felt just right. What a start to the year. By the time visited these places and admired its beauty we realized its 5 better to leave foe hotel because after 7 its really tough to drive due to weather. So, we wrapped our day 3 and next day waiting for some Safari at most awaited Jim Corbett.

Cost for 3 days including flight (one side): 9k per person

Next day we had to leave for Ramnagar to goto Jim Corbett. So we left around 6 in the morning took a bus which dropped us at RamNagar stop and charges some Rs 100-200 per person. It was too cold we were freezing but the excitement to see tiger was much more. it took us about to 2 hours to reach Ramnagar and we had our safari booked in advance. The best part about Jim corbett safari is they lave pick-up and drop facility available till Ramnagar. So its really convenient for people staying in Ramnagar or nearby. Safari duration is around 5 hours and if you are lucky you get witness tiger. Safari cost 2500 per person and best chances to see tiger at Dhikala gate. Though i was not lucky but it was fun. An experience everyone should have. That's how i spent my one new year in "Pahado ki Vadiyo" :p. Next day morning with lots of memory and promise to come back for snow i left to for Delhi to catch my flight to Pune.

Total cost of the trip: ~20k
