Travelling by Mumbai’s lifeline- local train which was teeming with crowd at peak hours (morning and evening) I headed to Panvel temple. Though it is not any eminent spot among Mumbai’s attractions but one thing I found and which I appreciate about the temple is that it provides food to street children of the area every day. They don’t serve any scrumptious meal but lentil and rice. But for those street children it was not less than a king’s feast. Feeling of content on their faces gave me a lesson that how we crib for delicacies, splurge in hotels and waste food but never have this thought that thousands of people don’t even get one time meal. And if every temple in India follows this then no child will sleep empty stomach.
Really it was a heart- touching and worthy experience which I got from this off-beaten track of Mumbai.
