I took a trip to Hatton, Sri Lanka, last month with my family and came back with a bunch of great memories. I prepared my itinerary in advance to ensure a smooth and fun trip. The activities I planned included climbing the Adam’s Peak, exploring the beautiful tea plantations, biking, White Water Rafting in the Kalani –Valley rain forest, and so on. While the schedule was planned, I could not decide upon a suitable place for accommodation amongst the Hatton Hotels. After looking upon reviews on trusted websites online, I chose the Zinc Journey Mandira Bungalows.
Amongst their three colonial style Bungalows including the Strathdon Bungalow, the Dick Oya Bungalow and the Craig Appin Bungalow, I chose the former Strathdon Bungalow and was not disappointed. This colonial style tea planter’s Bungalow is furnished with exquisite paintings, Egyptian cotton luxury linen and other tasteful hand-picked accessories. I especially loved their rooms which had a picturesque view of the tailored gardens and the evergreen tea estates and were equipped with all the basic facilities to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
