

Why Tadiandamol ?
It is the highest peak in kodagu district with an elevation of 5740 ft. A trekker's delight ! The trek can be completed in a day and is a perfect one for beginners. Despite of being an easy trek, the experience is amazing.
In monsoons you'll come across a number of water streams and thick green forest cover. The trail takes you through Shola forest and houses a large variety of flora and fauna.
Can easily be done over a weekend and the view from top is quite rewarding.
What is the best time ?
The trek is open throughout the year . September- February is said to be the best time due to pleasant weather . According to our trek lead, it's quite fun and adventurous to do the trek in monsoons. So, anytime is a good time.
What to pack ?
Make sure you have plenty of water with you. It's not easily available for the last 3 km . Energy bars and snacks would help.
How to reach ?
The trek can be started from kakkabe or you can cover the 4 km distance from kakkabe to actual trek start point by car. The total trek distance we covered was around 14 km to and fro. The initial path was proper concrete roads and there are a few resorts near the trek starting point. You can pitch your tent or stay in one of these. Camping at the peak is not allowed due to animal attacks.
