The Erstwhile Nawabs of Rampur State established the Raza Library in 1774 which houses ancient manuscripts, paintings and Islamic calligraphy. It has the original Quoran written by Hazrat Ali, son in law of Prophet Mohammed, on a camel skin in the 7th century AD. The secular nature of the Nawabs is evident from a pillar which houses a Mandir , church , Gurudwara and masjid one on top of the other. Unfortunately Many ancient darwazas constructed by the Nawabs have already been destroyed. Must visit.
