It was a day try from a same town called page in Arizona.
Monument valley was is one of the USA’s iconic landscapes.
Sure, it’s possible to drive right through the Valley, visiting the main sites in just two or three hours, but if you really want to explore it, consider spending at least one day here.
We rented a Dodge Charger from Vegas to Page, going around visiting all the canyons around Page. On the last day of Page we decided to make a small 3 hour drive to Monument valley which was always my dream to visit that place after seeing it in so many movies like The lone ranger, Forrest gump and Back to the future.
We started of with opening the GPS location on my phone from the AirBnb we stayed in Page as the telephone communication in Page is zero. Drove through the Navajo Indian reservation to reach Monument valley. It always fun to drive through the region as you can spot a lot of canyons and deserted land.
We drove right through the Valley, visiting the main sites in just two or three hours, but if you really want to explore it, consider spending at least one day here. We were surprised at how much there is to do in Monument Valley. There are even quick excursions in the area, if you are looking for even more activities to fill your time.
It costs $20 per vehicle (up to four people) to enter the park, but had the National park pass for a year which cost us $80 to visit all the national parks in the US.
Also, there is a restaurant near the parking area with a beautiful view of the Mittens and Merrick Butte.
