This was the trip i was waiting for.....My first solo trip to North India , i was super exited. I started planning for this trip may be from november as i wanted to see fresh snow fall. But will i get to see snow fall??
I always book early morning flights all thanks to Bangalore traffic and distance from city to airport.
When ever i go to Uttarakhand i never miss to visit Haridwar so i landed in Dehradun and went directly to Haridwar as taxi was expensive i had to take bus. Har ki pauri/Ganga aarati should never be missed in Haridwar, that place which gives you peace and divine power when you start singing Ganga Aarati song .
Travelling from Haridwar to Mussoorie will be difficult if you are planning to go by Bus as there are no direct Bus. If you need to enjoy the beauty you need to go by Taxi. Heavy rain and 3 degree temperature welcomed me to Mussoorie. Wahh those delicious North Indian food which most of the South Indian would be waiting to eat. I was waiting for snow fall from that time i entered Mussoorie but heavy rains :( i just could roam in mall road that day enjoying that freezing weather.
Most of the tourist place was closed due to rains so i planned to visit Dhanaulti which is around 58kms from Mussoorie . Guys this is must visit place when you go to Mussoorie . Luckily i got shared taxi so i could save some money. Driving to Dhanaulti would be big task in winter . Those fog covered roads scare's us in each and every curve and small roads, all kudos to expert taxi drivers. There i could visit only eco park as it started to rain heavily, while back to Mussoorie there was snowfall which is mixed with rain. There started the traffic when people heard of snowfall which took nearly extra hour to reach Mussoorie. This was worth spending for expensive taxi paisa vasool hogaya. More than the words photos can show you beauty of Dhanaulti.
This was my last day in Mussoorie but i could not see complete fresh snowfall, i was disapponted. Wokeup in the morning and saw there was rain with snow. Mall road was completely crowded and people enjoying the snow. i got ready in hurry and ran to enjoy snow. Temperature was nearly to zero. Thanks to my Woodlands boots which did not make my feet freeze. I was completely tired and freezed after being out for around 4hours. After some hours of rest in room it was around 3 P.M heard some skidding sounds of vehicle when i saw out from window it was heaven......that was the day i was waiting for...Wowww........i was completely exited after seeing that mountain completely covered with snow

that was memorable day in my life enjoying the heavy snowfall. I dont know how much km's i have walked that day on that fresh snow and looking at people enjoying and dancing in snow.
This day i had leave for Dehradun but roads were blocked completely due to snowfall, did not know how much time it would take to clear.I got much time to click pictures of the Queen. It was around 1 P.M roads were clear and most of the people were going back to there places. There was complete traffic jam and it took nearly 3 hours to move 4km . Due to traffice incomming vehicles to Mussoorie was blocked, people were walking for around 2 to 3 kms to reach Mussoorie. While back to dehradun i visited Sahasradhara and Robbers cave .
This is my final day of my Solo Trip. I completely enjoyed my trip. This will be my one of the best trip which ever i have been. Many people ask how do you enjoy solo trips?What fun do you get. Only in the
solo trips we enjoy, love and spend time for ourself, spend time for ourself and we will have great self confidence.
