So, while we still have sometime at hand to plan this trip, let’s dig into my experience at this wonderful island which has everything for everyone. Yes, you heard me right from beautiful mountains to serene beaches to vibrant city vibes to exquisite temples and last but not the least the magical Disneyland.

If you are a travel enthusiast you can easily see the most important jewels of this island in a week’s time. All you need is gusto, good planning and super comfortable pair of shoes. What makes Hongkong the most desirable destination is its convenience and plethora of travel modes like the MTR, the local buses and the ancient ferry which are also pocket friendly.

Presenting my day-wise itinerary that will help you plan this enchanting island trip.

We stayed at Dorsett Mongkok, Hong Kong which is a short 7minute walk from Olympic MTR Station and a 15minute walk from the Mongkok MTR Station which has amazing connectivity to major MTR Stations. (Attached is the MTR route map for better understanding and planning).

Considering one would have taken a long early morning flight to reach here, keep the day light. Take the MTR from Mongkok - Diamond Hill Station take Exit C2, follow the signs and walk for around five minutes and visit the enchanting Chi Lin Nunnery & Nan Lian Garden. On the way back get off at Wong Tai Sin Station take Exit B2, walk for about three minutes to reach the heavenly Wong Tai Sin Temple. If this doesn’t excite you, head to the Science Museum to experience the Sci-Fi world, alight at the East Tsim Sha Tsui Station take Exit P2, walk along Chatham Road South for approximately 10 minutes. End the evening with a mesmerizing Light Show from the TST Promenade, just behind the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. You can reach her either by taking the MTR or walk through the city roads experiencing its vibes. It’s approximately a 20 min walk from the Science Museum. After the show have a gourmet experience at the Ashley Road filled with an array of restaurants offering scrumptious food. If you are looking for Indian or pure vegetarian food this will prove to be a paradise. Once you have regained some energy post your hearty meal, take the metro from Tsim Sha Tsui Station alight at Jordan station take Exit A walk towards Nathan Road, left to Saigon Road for 6 mins and you will reach an enormous gate of Temple Street Night Market. Indulge yourself in some retail therapy at this amazing market filled with a variety of things to shop from souvenirs to clothes and other trinkets.
