Day 1

As it has been a long time since me and one of my travel friend (Vijayaraj) has been traveled. So we decided to travel to some off-season place. We initially planned for Goa. But due to some reasons we can't able to get to that place.

So we have to visit HAMPI as it was the place that we both haven't visited before. We had done a till search for the train availability and places to visit in HAMPI. We have found a interesting blog on Tripoto. We have decided to visit all the places mentioned in that.

We board the train on 13- Sep from Chennai to Guntakal. We reached Guntakal around 08:30 Am the next day morning and we took a bus to Bellary and from there to Hospete. We reached Hampi around 02:00 pm.

We have checked-in to the hotel we have already booked. The hotel was on the banks of tungabhadra river. We have freshen up and left the hotel around 03:30 pm to start exploring Hampi.

Our first spot to visit was Vitthala temple. We walked along the banks of tungabhadra river. The river was an awesome place to walk along. We have found many temples along the way to Vitthala. We saw a heard of cow with sharp horn. We are amazed to see the horn of cow like that.

When the time we reached the temple, the sun had began to set. The temple was so beautiful to watch during sunset. The temple had an entrance fee of Rs:30(the ticket can be used to see Lotus Mahal and Archaeological museum in Hampi but the validity of ticket is one day)and it has many cravings and many mandappa's. Each mandappa has its own style of sculptures or cravings.

The place had a almost ruined temple top. The temple was worth enough to spent almost a hour or one and half. We had some many spots for shooting photographs. The temple was surrounded by cows for sometimes.

We left the temple around 06:15 pm. While along the way we saw a magnificent and beautiful Achyutaraya Temple. The temple has a beautiful outside complex. The view inside the temple was mesmerizing. The entire temple complex was covered with grass which makes it look beautiful. The temple was near to a hill.

After spending sometime in the beautiful temple, we left the temple. We met many people from abroad in Hampi. We spoke with few of them. They had an really interesting story to tell and importantly showed patience to listen to our stories as well.

The last place we visit on the day was the most important place in Hampi, Virupaksha Temple. The temple was almost darkened when we reached it. We went inside the temple and saw some interesting painting painted on the roof and wall of the temple. As it was dark, we wouldn't able to take many photos of the temple.

There a guide from tourist department told us about exploring Hampi through bicycle ride. Though we listened to him completely, we politely rejected his request for booking a ride as we have our own for plan for exploring.

After roaming around the temple premises till 07:45 pm, we walked back to our room. We just freshen up and came to have our Dinner. In Hampi , most of the shops closes by 08:30 or 08:45. Only shops near the river banks were kept open. We luckily find a roadside shop for having our dinner. The dinner was Ok, but the fact is the amount paid for it is really cheap. So we had a fair dinner and went to our room for a healthy sleep to start the next day with fresh mind.

Will post the Day 2 soon.!!!!
