Hello deepak,it's not the season to visit hillstations.You should visit hilly areas in halfseason that is nearly september to December.This season is worthy to explore the scenic beauty of hillstations

silver Cascade waterfalls
Coaker's Walk
Kurinji Andavar Temple
Kodai Lake Boating
Bryant and Chettiar Parks
Pine Forest etc.
If possible visit Berijam Lake. Don't miss out if you get that opportunity!!!!
Not sure about two-wheeler rentals, but there are bicycle rentals though, if you're interested.

you should take a little defensive material too, if in case.
then u need to have basic essential items with u.
u will get to know more people and this is fun.. u get to spend time with urself
