Do it solo. You will do it in less than 3k. The trek trails are well marked. Carry a stove, tent, mattress, sleeping bag and maggi & soups.Hire a guide if you doubt on going solo.

Hitch hike, stay with locals and trekking solo( and getting lost) :P

To manage living expenses i would suggest t]you to defer from staying in mainstream places. To cut down on transport you can always choose to travel by public transport, either bus or train. And to travel locally you can choose shared cabs or auto rickshaws

Well, a lot of times. But they were never too bad that I say India isn't safe. Eve teasing has been the most come thing during my travels but precautions and strong behavior has kept me going.

I have travelled solo in Delhi, shimla , kufri and have not faced any harrassment

I like this question. haha. There are so many reason; I don't like to wash my hair, I don't like them open, I like the whole idea of not taking care of hair haha :D The answer is also random :D

Come to hostel, we will go for a hike. I face a lot of challenges from staying away from my loved ones to having good meals. I travel for 25 days a month. I hitch hike mostly, so I save for my food and basic stay.

Thank you dear. Well, I never really had to convince my Dad though my mom was a bit skeptical. My dad somehow knew that I am strong and smart to tackle with the creepy humans around.

Hey Shubhangi. Sorry for poking my nose in there. But couldn't resist answering this. There are a lot of places you could visit / explore in Spiti. When exactly in October are you planning it. Post the 10th-12th of October, it starts snowing / can snow anytime. Would suggest to plan accordingly. As for the regular places, Prakriti has already answered. Here's a list of some places that not many go to. I see myself on Mt. Everest in next five years. I have already been to above 20,000 ft though.

Freelancing within your field is the only way you can keep travelling. Or volunteer at the places to get free accommodation and food.
