Sunset boat drive is spectacular... don't miss it. there is an authentic restaurant called natraj. As k the localities abt it. There is also an antique car museum that I know my husband loved. they charge 500rs per person. And yes ofcourse the palace is wonderful. stay near the shore for best views of the lake from the hotel. the sunrise n sunset are perfect. .

I would say, as it is rainy season... You should try visiting Rajasthan.... The scenic beauty is amazing. and you can also find some adventure sports in Rajasthan. Not sure if mcleodganj is open as of now... If so... You can do sky diving there... It's nice.... :) .. Enjoy August..
