Hi Radhika, With the rains, Matheran can be a bit challenging but as we're transitioning to Winters now, the cooler weather is perfect for sight seeing. Whenever you visit Matheran, do make sure that you visit Sunset point, Charlotte Lake and Malang Point. Being well connected to Pune through roads, you'll not face any issues travelling as well. You can also choose trains like Sahyadri express to reach Matheran from Pune. Hello everyone. Am thinking of a short travel during Diwali holidays (4th-7th Nov.). Anybody planning for the same can join or suggest....Will prefer to start from Gujarat. This will be a kind of leisure trip as thrill ride is already queued for December.

Only tribe members can answer thisFrom October, mild winter starts in Kashmir, which turns into full winter in november. so if you are travelling in October, you could pack one heavy sweater and one heavy jacket. If you are travelling in November carrying all your winter clothings is advisable.
