I have been to Goa some 15 times. Please keep in mind, Goa although small in area is still a state and has lots to offer than just beaches but yes, most people come to Goa for beach, party and cheap beer. If that is you want then 3-4 days are enough. If its your first time, I would suggest you go to North Goa - good old Calangute beach as you will be closer to few other beaches and capital Panaji (Panjim) where you can ride and visit few heritage, history (Portuguese) etc. You can visit Chapora fort - Dil chahata hai movie and Fort Aguada by scooter. There are lots of night party places around Calangute. South Goa is bit different, quiet, serene, hills and if you happen to be there on Saturday then you can enjoy Silent Noise - Headphone party as well. Enjoy your trip! I can go to Goa anytime even on monsoons but best time to go is from mid-October and before early March although late September and March/April/May are also okay but it gets too hot. Avoid December as it gets too crowded and expensive. Other than beaches you can see forts, waterfall(Doodhsagar), Temples, Church's and national parks. Enjoy your trip!
After landing in Rome either go directly to Naples by train or stay for 1 night in Rome-Naples&Capri (3 nights) -Venice (2 nights) -Rome (2 or 3 nights depending on the fact that your staying 1st night in Naples or Rome). If your are flying out of Rome.
Include Hampi also...If you have minimum 3 days then you can cover 1. Hampi (1 day...although I like to spend 3 days in Hampi only) Badami-pattadakal-aihole (1 day) Bijapur (1 day) Start your journey from Bijapur and travel down to Hampi or you can start from Hampi and go up to Bijapur. Look for trains reaching from Bijapur to Hospet and then take a local bus/taxi to Hampi. From Hampi, hire a taxi to go around Badami-Pattadakal-Aihole Then take a train back to Bijapur and then Hyderabad. Check out below links for outlook on Hampi and Badami: https://www.tripoto.com/trip/hampi-a-morsel-for-vijayanagara-empire-59ccc284a7bc4https://www.tripoto.com/trip/lustrous-badami-caves-59d37257e7486
There is a great window just after the monsoons are over and before the extreme cold of winter sets in - mid-October to November-end. The best part about this window is that you can get to attend the Darjeeling Carnival, which generally happens in the second week of November. Moreover, the weather is absolutely smashing with pristine blue skies with little worry about rain or snow.
Hi Mitali, For Sanakphu trek, The first season, with the temperature ranges from 8 to 15 degrees, is from April to May and the second season is after the monsoon starting from October to early December when the temperature ranges from -5 to 5 degrees. For Sikkim- As suggested by Sikkim Tourism, the best time to visit Sikkim is either between March and May or October and mid-December.
You can opt for any one of the given below trek in September. You can easily complete your trek during your weekend and this way you can make a great escape from this humid and scorching heat. Triund Trek in Himachal Pradesh
Prashar Lake Trek
Tosh Valley Trek
Nag Tibba Trek- near Mussoorie
Chopta Chandrashila Trek
In terms of weather, in all likelihood do expect rains.
However, the place around is relatively good for a couple of days in which you can cover the places like ASI sites and the small island.
Lonavala is a hill station surrounded by green valleys in western India near Mumbai. The Karla Caves and the Bhaja Caves are ancient Buddhist shrines carved out of the rock. They feature massive pillars and intricate relief sculptures. South of the Bhaja Caves sits the imposing Lohagad Fort, with its 4 gates. West of here is Bhushi Dam, where water overflows onto a set of steps during rainy season. Distance between Pune to Lonavala is 68 km.
I travelled to kasol, this new year's eve. And it was wonderful experience. We stayed in YOLO camps near kheerganga river. First day, rest for sometime and then leave for Tosh if weather allows, else explore nearby area & enjoy new year eve in camps in evening with bonfire & music. Second Day, leave early for Manikaran as it can get too crowdy in afternoon. We walked for around 12km from Manikaran-kasol due to huge traffic jam on the way. And if you have some time left then explore kullu.
Hi Akshay, October and April are the best months to visit Arunachal Pradesh which are the winter and the spring months for the state. Arunachal is located at a high altitude, and so has pleasant weather throughout the year. During the summers (April to June) temperature might be too high to explore during the peak daytime hours.
