I was on a solo trip to Thailand quite recently. My trip included Bangkok as well. Since I was on a shoestring budget, I ensured that I spend as little as possible.
The entire trip cost me 30-32k. This includes the flight tickets (18k) and some islands such as phi phi and Krabi. I would suggest that you live in a hostel as they are cheaper and a fun way to meet new people (something a hotel doesn't offer). If Bangkok is the only place you plan on visiting, take the ferry to travel around the city as it is 9 to 10 times cheaper than other modes of transportation. Take a bus from the airport to khao San (60 baht) instead of the cab (300 baht). The train will take a lot of time but you can reach Khao San road (place where all the tourist live + cheap hostels) but it's the cheapest. DO NOT CONVERT YOUR CURRECY AT THE AIRPORT. Either get it converted from some agency in your home country or some agency in Bangkok. The conversion rate is twice so you get double the amount.
Shimla can be reached by train from kalka.book tickets in advance.
Reach kalka by bus from delhi or chandigarh.Train is the cheapest and safe also.
Preferable book hotels near mall road so you dont need to hire cab for travelling..walk to mall road to enjoy the view.
Dont go to kufri in summers its waste.Enjoy gulab jamun from baljees and doodh jalebi at nathuram
Dominoes have good quality pizza so kids will lo e that..it’s all on mall road so stay near..hotels range from 700-2500 and higher..

Hi, I have been to Bali this March & I think, 6N/7D are just sufficient for both these countries. Just need to plan which places to choose to visit. In Bali, plan your stay near Jimbaran Bay which is the centre point from where you can commute to any place easily. Best things to do there are water sports, visit to see live Volcano, tea garden where you can enjoy extreme swings. Anaya resorts in Jimbaran Bay is another must visit place. You can also plan your stay here. You may also check my photo blog on Tripoto.

Hey there! It is better to choose a tour operator and go in a shared/private cab. Do not go on booking a different car everyday as it will make your trip tiring. Find an operator and be sure to not fall into the traps of cheaters if you are going via Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri. They'll try to lure you with many unconditionally cheap offers but they will later on loot you in every other trip they provide. Never book a hotel from the tour guides. Do your own booking and go. Tsomgo Lake+Baba Mandir+Nathula Pass have a single day package of ₹1200 Per Person. Gurudongmar Lake+Yumthang Valley (which is a 3 day tour) has charges of around ₹3000-₹3500 Per Person. Rates are applicable for a shared jeep. If you wish to go to Zero point or Kala Paathar, you need to talk about that with the driver. He might take you there at a charge of about ₹300 per person for both. Hope you enjoy!

If you are starting your journey from Delhi, you'll find a lot of tour providers near by the New Delhi Railway Station. And if you are planning to rent out from Manali, then try neighborhoods of mall road. Its much better and economic if you book directly rather than booking it online or via phone.

You can stay at the Dragon Guest House, near Malana. You can also ask around for a stay in or near the village. You can explore the small hamlet on foot, witness the magical valley, which is surrounded by snow-clad mountains for the most part of the year. You can also trek to the Chanderkhani Pass near Malana, which is surprisingly at a higher altitude than Kheerganga.
