I recently visited Dharmshala and there's a hostel in upper bhagsu area called Flyaway Hostel. A very serene and calming place it is located in and you will enjoy the view from there. I booked the hostel from make my trip and the link to it is attached below.

If you are planning to visit go to Shangarh. i recently visited there and trust me it's now a very less explored area so you will also get a chance to see something completely new. The beauty here is something else
