Dear fellow traveler, for you Lansdowne is perfect place to visit in July or during monsoon. This is the best time enjoy the rich flora-fauna and the serene beauty around this Garhwali town of Lansdone. This place is just 255 kms from New Delhi and it takes almost 6 hours to reach. There were frequent buses From ISBT Kasmiri gate to Kotdwara which is 40 kms almost from Lansdowne. From Kotdwara you can hire a taxi to Lansdowne. Nestled in the lap of the Shivalik Ranges of lower Himalayas, Lansdowne is known for it's scenic beauty, weather and peaceful surroundings. This is the best hilly town to visit during Monsoon, during the rains the town became more beautiful and scenic. Here you can also do activities like trekking and camping. Well this in not the best time to visit Sikkim and Darjeeling. While summer months from April to June are the ideal time to travel to Sikkim and Darjeeling, some travelers including couples also prefer to visit these beautiful towns during winter months from October to December.

Triund is best place to start trekking but do complete the full trek of 9 km and do camp at top.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
As far as trek is concerned Triund is the better option whereas Chopta is famous for its lush green beauty and panoramic view. Triund trek starts off in a group and you can approach a guide. It's of approximately 8kms where you finally reach a beautiful temple at the top. camping is a must to enjoy at top. Snow will not be available in this season so to add onto beauty you can try this trek in the month of Dec-March

First decide weather you want to visit in south or north India. There are various adventurous activities in the month of August in jaisalmer, jaipur like camel ride, bir billing whereas you can try sea sports like banana rides , scuba diving at beaches of andaman and nicobar, Puducherry etc. Moreover you can also try famous kedarnath, badrinath treks in uttrakhand which opens generally till August only.

It's a difficult to suggest anything unless you specify what you want to do, or which adventure are you looking for

Hi Amir, Greetings for the day! First of all great choice planning a trip to these locations in winters. You can cover these places in under 10k if you go for a backpacking trip and use hostels as a medium of accommodation. It is also advisable to do inter-place transfers at night if you want to cut on the accommodation expenses. However, that being said if you are looking for hotels and other mediums the budget can extend between 15k-20k depending on your choice of the room. Happy travelling!! Regards, Udit Khurana
