Go and check out oyo rooms as they are offering 74c/o off in hotels these days. And Actually, the main reason I'm recommending booking through oyo becoz MMT and goibibo bookings are not that much trustworthy, they can cancel your room if they get more money from another person. So choose wisely especially when you are traveling during the winter holidays.
Happy Travelling!!
I would suggest to visit chamba instead of shimla as on 25th weekend there will be a lot of rush. In chamba you can find cheap hotels and peaceful atmosphere.
There are a lot of non touristy things.
If you like surfing you can learn and go surfing there.
The local drinks there are
1. Bintang beer (try the raddler) it's something different
2. Bali Hai is also a local beer
3. Prost is another local beer. You can relax in sanur for a relaxed beachwalk. Or even nusa dua or ubud for that matter is decent without much public

You can plan a trip to Sunderbans.
Just 100kms away from Kolkata, Sunderbans gives you a sneak-peak of the mangroves, relaxing mud-walking with some mesmerizing sight-seeing of the local flora and fauna.
Also, if you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Lamahatta (Darjeeling)
It's a beautiful village, a tiny hamlet situated atop the hills. It's surrounded in lush greenery and you'll be greeted by mist every time you go there. People are so very affable, and it's a must visit for all. Digha is a sea beach town in West Bengal and has multiple beaches in the vicinity - Mandarmoni, Shankarpur, Tajpur are newer beach locations nearby with slightly upmarket stay options and lesser crowd. Good Luck!!
Hey Pradeep, The ghata road is wide enough for buses to take turns ... as you say you are self driving see that you know a good driving ... Apart from that it's all fine to go in car and you will for sure enjoy the stretch towards the hill station. Happy and safe Travelling Bro!!!

There are only few places where you can stay when you visit Agumbe.
All places are regular lodges/home-stays. Whereas there is this one place which i strongly recommend you to stay at.
It is called Dodd-Mane (Kannada) (English: A Big House). It is a home with a history of over 130 years.
Head of this house is called Kasthuri akka (reminds you of your ajji :))
Specialty of this place is that they do not ask you for any fixed amount of money. You can pay how much ever is feasible for you. They also provide you free food (Malnad style). Yummy is an understatement. No Tea/Coffee is provided. But you are treated with Kashaya (made of 29 special ingredients). Yummy again! You can stay here for how much ever days you want to. But make sure to call and enquire before you plan a trip. Contact: Mr. Ravikumar (+91- 9448603343)
Good Luck!!

Most places in London (the main city area) could be covered in 2-3 days, would be a bit of a stretch but worth so that you can spend in the country side at leisure.. Here is my story which i wrote on a different platform: https://trips.lonelyplanet.com/s/zscjye
Hello, Now that depends on whether you want snow or you want plain surrounding. If you are intrested in snow go for auli one.
If you are intrested for chilled place with no snow go for nainital one. Enjoy travelling!!!
Hey Mohammed, It is tough to say which is best one but if you haven't done any trekking before then choose easy snow trek - Kedarkantha trek which can be done in Rs 5000-6000 ( book a package with any trekking agency ). Happy trekking!!!!
Hello, In 3 days it is difficult to do a many treks but i would suggest, auli, dhanaulti which will have snow on the way. Kedarnath would be closed and you may not be able to reach till the temple. Enjoy travelling!!!
