Due to Corona restrictions, everyone now thinks twice before heading to any destination which is worth thinking, looking at the prevailing situation. We also had the same thoughts but now when we have came back from our Trip to Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh & believe me we had the same amount of fun as earlier but within the safety protocols. Travel to Hills is not the problem but yes, ignoring the safety practices is.

So, what exactly Himachal Government expects from tourists is nothing much else than taking care of ourselves and others. Few of the non-negotiable things are-

1-One has to carry his/her Vaccination certificate which they ask to flash as soon as one enters in Himachal. We were asked for the Vaccination certificate and they allowed too, though we were only partially vaccinated. but now as per the new guidelines, they need a negative RT-PCR report of minimum 72 hours or RAT(Rapid Antigen Test) of 24 Hours or Vaccination certificate with both doses. Thus do not forget to carry any of these.

2-Wearing masks all the time is mandatory, non-adherence to this will result in challan of Rs.2000/-

3-Almost everything is operational now but with all required Corona safety instructions.

4-Hotels are also set to welcome their guests & take a good care of hygiene provided its a good one.(not sure about the other kind of accommodations)

5-Eateries/Restaurants open and close at the regular timings.

So, all the travelholics, just travel to your most favorite destination, Himachal keeping above things in mind and have fun :-)
