2. Auli Cable Car

Auli is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas on the way to Badrinath. After Gulmarg, Auli Cable Car Ropeway is the most popular site for seeing the magnificent and breathtaking Himalayas. It takes about 24 minutes to travel 4.4 kilometres. You can see the oak trees below as well as snow-capped peaks and lush meadows as you go at a pace of 3 metres per second. The ropeway runs to the top of Ratnagiri Hill and its magnificent white 40m-high Vishwashanti Stupa, which is located about 5km south of the town. 6. Gangtok Ropeway

As one of the most thrilling activities in Gangtok, the Ropeway gives a beautiful perspective of the valley below. The twin cable zig zag ropeway was inaugurated in 2003 and can carry up to 24 passengers and go a distance of 2 kilometres one way or the other. The lowest point is at the Deorali market, and the highest point is at Tashiling (below the state secretariat). Nam-Nang serves as a halfway point on the route. You can enter from any point and return to the same point after touching the other two points.
