Beaches are beautiful, I love coastal cities for its beaches, they make us happy according to science. Some beaches showcase crystal clear water with aquatic animals on it. India has got many beautiful landscaped beaches, but due to lack of proper maintenance, India's beaches are not on the top of the world's best beach destinations. So, today I'm going to review the beaches in India that I have visited during my travels.

Juhu Beach, Mumbai

Situated in the elite area of Mumbai after Bandra, Juhu beach is one of the ideal places to the residents to feel calm during the weekend. However, What I have seen is that Juhu beach is full of splits and dirt, making it one of the less enjoyable beaches out there.

Since Mumbai looks crowded in streets and local trains, Juhu beach also has become more crowded and hence there are a lot of plastic wastes and water pollution. But on the other side, there is an alternative, you can visit Marine Drive which shows the picturesque skyscrapers of Mumbai.

I hope the Mumbai municipal corporation will make Juhu beach cleaner in the near future.

Marina Beach, Chennai

Might not be the best, but still better than Juhu beach. Being the Lover's paradise, Marina Beach is another weekend destination for the Chennaities. You can see people busy playing cricket, flying kites and having food of all cuisines in the small and open-air shops. Another alternative of Marina Beach is Besant Nagar beach, which looks more calm and cleaner.

Anjuna and Baga beaches, Goa

Goa, the party state also has some good natural landscapes. The beach and its environment look free from plastic waste, thanks to the coast guards. Many water sport activities like Jet ski, Dolphin watching have converted from "Just ordinary beaches" to popular tourist spots.

Ramakrishna beach, Vishakapatnam

One of the overlooked natural landscapes, Vishakapatnam is one of the busiest ports in South India. I have seen the beach empty in the morning and afternoon but maintained clean and tidy. Near the beach lies the Submarine Museum, where you can explore the activities done by the Navy during their underwater journey. Overall, the beach is recommended to visit in the evening to stay away from the hot sun.

Kozhikode Beaches

Calicut has 3 beaches: Kappad Beach, Kozhikode city beach and Beypore beach. Kappad beach is where the explorer Vasco da Gama came to India. Except for the Kozhikode city beach, the rest of the two beaches are clean but empty, with Beypore beach having a stone pier in which you can go further for an Ocean view. On the positive side of Kozhikode city beach, you can enjoy jet ski and boating.
