Traveling with a pet is never easy for a pet owner. In the past, we had to purchase an AC-1 ticket for each pet and reserve an entire cabin or coupe for them by going to the parcel booking desk on the day of the trip. Along with this option, travelers were also permitted to transport their four-legged companions in a crate in second class or in a brake van. This procedure was detrimental to the four-legged animals as well as exhausting for the pet parents.
The Ministry of Railways decided to permit the fur parents to buy the AC-1 tickets online in order to prevent all these inconveniences. A strategy for the same has been put out by the ministry and will shortly be put into action. Additionally, the TTEs would be permitted to reserve the dogs for the trip under this idea. With this effort, the ministry intends to offer pet owners a break and make traveling with them more convenient and comfortable.
