We decided to spend the new years of Dec 2020 in wilderness and had heard a lot about Kabini. Must say its one of the most beautiful wildlife experiences we've had. From Mumbai we flew to Bengaluru , drove to Coorg for a stopover of 2 days and then drove to Kabini .
Our stay at the Bison resort during new years was truly surreal. This resort is a boutique style camp with various options of cottages. We booked the forest Machan which is slightly elevated from the river facing cottages.
You can enjoy walking on the green open pastures by the property itself or take a boat ride during sunset or even chill by the pool. The resort also houses several injured horses and donkeys and looks after them .
Talking about Safaris , the boat and the jungle safaris both are very unique and you must not miss either of them. the naturalists from the resort are very knowledgeable and make your experience a good one. We were very lucky to spot a tiger during the forest safari.
the prices of the resort seem a bit high but overall we had a wonderful experience amidst nature & wildlife and would definitely recommend a trip to Kabini.
