Everest base camp trek is one of the most renowned trek in the universe. It is the number one bucket list of every real trekker as it includes the tallest mountain in the world i. e. Mt. Everest. This is also the primary attraction of EBC trek. Besides, other neighboring mountains, Tengboche monastery, suspension bridges, and Sherpa cultures are equally the important features of this trekking trails.
Although, base camp of Everest is the final destination of Everest base camp trekking, it doesnot display the crystal clear mountain view while comparing with Kalapatthar. As Kapatthar is a vantage point of Everest trek which offers the more beautiful Everest ranges views than from the Everest base camp. However, Everest base camp trek itinerary includes these both places looking for the gorgeous mountains.
Day 01: Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
In the early morning, you have an hour of domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. During flight, you can see the mesmerizing mountains from the window of the plane. After reaching Lukla, your trekking starts and ends at Phakding.
Day 02: Phakding to Namache Bazaar
After having a breakfast in the morning, your trekking begins. The trail goes along the Sagarmatha National Park. Finally, you reach at Namche Bazaar.
Day 03: Acclimatization day
This is the first acclimatization day of EBC trek. Acclimatization is the important factor of every trekking and the Namche Bazaar is the best place to be acclimatized, because it is the only one town of Everest region. This is a place of full facilities like in the town.
Day 04: Trek to Tengboche
Today, you are going to spend your night at Tengboche. You can visit the Tengboche monastery there, the largest Sherpa monastery of Nepal.
Day 05: Trek to Dingboche
It’s a slightly tiring day, because you are going to walk the ascending pathways. It goes through the beautiful rhododendron forest. You can see the beautiful mountains even during the walking. Finally, your trail stops at Dingboche.
Day 06: Acclimatization Day
This is the last acclimatization day. So, you can spend your day by roaming around this place. You can also go for a short hiking as well.
Day 07: Trek to Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp
This is an another exhausting day, because you are going to Gorak Shep and to your final destination as well, i.e. Everest Base Camp. After reaching Gorak Shep, you will have a lunch and go for hiking to Everest Base Camp. Walking along the rocky glaciers is slightly difficult. However, you will visit EBC and trek back to Gorak Shep for spending a night.
Day 08: Hike to Kalapatthar and trek back to Pheriche
Your trekking starts a bit early in the morning of this day, because you are going to see the golden sunrise view. It is a difficult trekking trail to some extent. However, you reach at Kalapatther and enjoy the sunrise views over gorgeous mountains. The views of Mt. Everest ranges are more transparent from this view point while comparing to the Everest Base Camp. After spending some time over there, you trek down to Gorak Shep, have a breakfast and go down to Pheriche.
Day 09: Trek to Namche Bazaar
On this day, you will go back to Namche Bazaar by retracing the previous path.
Day 10: Trek back to Lukla
This is the last day of Everest base camp trek. You will go back to Lukla by following the previous path ways and spend a night over there.
Day 11: Fly back to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, you have a Lukla to Kathmandu flight. You will fly back to Kathmandu along same air route and reach Kathmandu.
