For the convenience of travellers, there are free shuttles from Banff to Lake Louise and Lake Moraine. With the backdrop of the glacier, Lake Louise’s picture perfect scenery is something you just cannot miss. Things to do in Lake Louise include Village of Lake Louise, Summer Gondola (May – October) and Lake Louise Ski Area (November – May beginning). The picturesque Lake Moraine, a short distance away from Lake Louise, is quieter, less crowded and surrounded by pine trees from all sides. The lakes melt around April/May, and that’s when all the summer activities begin.
Highlights of Banff National Park:Banff is part of the Rocky Mountain Park UNESCO Heritage Site and offers many natural attractions.1. Lake Louise: Lake Louise is one of the major tourists hotspots and should not be missed. The first thing you notice is the aqua green colour of the lake surrounded by the snow-capped mountains. You can go for a gondola or kayak ride at Lake Louise, but it is a bit costly. Again, a ride would get you incredible views of the area.
The incredible Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada, a truly surreal experience. Starting my day out at 4:30am so I could watch the magical sunrise over the glorious Lake Louise Mountains, was completely worth the early rise! With no wind in the air at all, I was able to see a perfect reflection of the beautiful mountains on Lake Louise. Our awesome guide Tomo, gave us the personalised tour of the Lake and the beautiful Fairmount Hotel. It was such an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend that everybody visits Lake Louise at least one in the life!
