Lakkidi ViewpointOn the way from Pookode, we stopped at Lakkidi Viewpoint to shoot (of course with the camera) the mountains that peeped from the clouds for a brief moment. The thrill of running from one point to another to catch the final glimpse of the breath-taking views before the snow covers the mountains is the real boost one can experience in the mountains during monsoons.
Drive for another 4 kms, you'll reach Lakkidi view point. You can see the curves of the road going downhill. On the way, you can find small streams rolling down with fresh water.
It is 35km from Soccipura falls. It is Gateway of Wayanad if you are entering through kozhikode. Lakkidi View Point gives us panoramic view of the valley. It's crowded too & by the time we reached there, it was raining and the valley view is covered with fogs. But still that is wroth for visit due the chillness & sunset time.
Lakkidi is the backwater area to the Upper Bhavani Reservoir, the waters of which flow into the Kundah Hydro Electric Power House.Food:Try any local bakery's freshly baked buns, cakes and fudges.
