Ground Zero

Naomi Hammonds
Back on mainland, it was time to visit Ground Zero and the 911 Memorial Museum. It was great to see so many people still paying their respects, and all trying to further understand what New York and the people went through. The Ground Zero memorial was beautiful to look at, and they have made it a very special place of remembrance. I went in to the 911 Memorial Museum (skipped the lines by using the New York Pass) and was extremely impressed by how interactive and informative the museum was. It was one of the best museums I have been to. It was a very moving experience, and I wasn't surprised to see some visitors walking around with tears in their eyes. All of the staff here were more than happy to answer any questions, and were truly passionate about their jobs. I wasn't expecting to spend as long here, but the whole experience was so engaging, I think I was there for around 2 hours. To me, this was one of the most memorable experiences in New York, and one that I think is very important to see. Brooklyn Bridge
