On second day, we woke up at 6 am in the morning. had tea in balcony of hotel with view of himalayas. ready ourselves for big challenge and leave for chopta at around 7 am. It was around 1.30 hour journey from ukhimath. On reaching there we first full our tummy with delicious breakfast consists of aloo paranthas, dhai, maggi and chai. Make sure you have full energy for the upcoming trek. we started climbing at around 9 am, trek was almost 3.5 kms till tungnath where there is a shiv mandir and some local shops selling maggi and dal chawal.P.S. It is better to take designated route to climb as shortcuts make slope more steep, it takes same time and more energy. On reaching tungnath shiv mandir, we halt there for quick lunch and for seekings blessings of deity. After almost halt of 1 hour, we again resume our trek to chandrashila. chandrashila is another 1 km fron tungnath with little more steep and little more rocky.chandrashila was heaven in its own way, one can see layers of layers of himalayas from there all covered in snow. we spent there almost 1 hour to observe the beauty of himalayas, make some stone tower which is believed as a carrier of your wish to god, click some nice photos and returned.return trip was more difficult than upward journey, it takes us almost 1 hour more than that. weather was changed when we descent. clouds were everywhere and we were above than them. again with stops of chocolates, water and maggi, we completed our trek.We camped that night, it was a local eatery shop that has some camps for tourists. tents were limited and little of high rates but somehow we mangaed to fetch four tents. tents were very small for three people but experience was very good. temperature can reach upto 1-3 celcius in night, so little bit cautious while you planning to stay in tents in night, but all your tiredness and hardships can be taken away by morning view of himalayas, nice weather, hot cup of tea and friends to talk. After almost spending 1.5 hour at edge of hill in morning, we ate our breakfast at moksha cafe which was our tent provider and that's how we ended our trip which remains in our mind as something to cherish for the rest of our life.
