Bakhim is found 16 km from Yuksom in West Sikkim District. It lies at an elevation of around 3100m on the Dzongri (10 km) trek course. Bakhim is a characteristic natural garden which is encompassed by thick blended woodlands of magnolia, rhododendron, orchids, and plants. Prek Chu River streams in close vicinity of Bakhim. It summons charming, heavenly perspectives of mountain peaks and profound valleys all around. Tsokha Village and Phedang are the adjacent spots of major attraction. Transportation is easily available at the Bakhim Forest House and Tourist Bungalow. A few trekkers make Bakhim to arrive first stop while in transit to Goecha La trek. Bakhim is arranged at a separation of around 3 km from Tsoka yet the entering way is tough with the height being increased near about 300m. A top priority location in the Touristers agenda. The governtment here are also very helpful towards the touristers visiting this place.
There is a forest rest house at Bakhim and some trekkers love staying at Bakhim – simply for its view of the Yuksom valley. Bakhim has some awesome tea and snack stalls where you can relish it with ease. As you will be tired enough, so go and take some rest, and then start your trek to Tshoka.
