(Dist. Dehradun) - Positioned on the junction of Yamuna and Tons River, Kalsi is peacefully settled between lofty Garhwal hills. Blessed with ethereal beauty, this small village in Uttarakhand falls on old route to Yamunotri. Kalsi is still undiscovered by the travellers and offers so many things to go such as mountain cycling, village walks or just relaxing along Tons River. Give a visit to the edicts carved in stone by Ashoka at Ashoka Rock Edict.
Situated at the foothills of Jaunsar, Kalsi is an extremely important historical site, because it has some of the Asokan Rock Edicts. Even with so much heritage value, you will hardly find tourists walking on this trail. You can also go to the Kata Pathar canal and the Jagat Gram orchard. Kalsi is therefore rich in its culture and heritage. The distance from Dehradun to Kalsi is 49km, so it is better if you start your hike from Sahaspur, which is a little more than half way.10) Kipling Trail
