Bhubaneshwar Tourism and Travel Guide

Set on the Mahanadi Delta, this place is one of the most modern and developing cities of the country. It is the capital of the state of Odisha and is named after Tribhuvaneshwar or the 'Lord of the three worlds'. It is also mentioned by the names of Shaivapitha and Ekam Kshetra in the early manuscripts and the history of the temples here also date back to 2000 years and even more. The main temples here are the Lingaraja, Dhauli, Udaygiri and Khandagiri and many more. The city is also well accomodated with shopping arcades, restaurants, good schools, colleges and universities. This city was commissioned separately in the year 1956 and since is the capital of the state.
