About Peora

7. Peora -A weekend spent in a hamlet with nature for company – now that’s the life! The village is located in Kumaon, popularly known as the ‘fruit bowl’. The trees are mostly laden with apricots and plums. When you wake up in the morning, be prepared to be in awe of the beauty of the Himalayas. You can take a morning walk through the jungles while randomly plucking plums and apricots for sustenance. There are only a few vehicles that ply on the road. The best view is of the sun setting against the backdrop of hills. There aren’t many eating options here. Vegetable noodles and chole is mostly on offer at eateries. Peora is among the offbeat weekend getaways from Delhi.
