Hi Everyone, Hope all are staying safe and doing well.

I am going to share my trip experience to one of the famous hill stations in the state of Karnataka, Chikkamagaluru. I have been planning to visit this place since I started exploring the places in Karnataka and finally this was happened last week with my colleagues.

We were 10 people travelled from multiple places and decided to met at Majestic Bus Stand, Bengaluru. We have booked our stay at Chikkamagaluru and also hired a Tempo Traveller for this trip. All of us reached Majestic Bus Stand by 06:30 AM Saturday and the vehicle was also reached the same on time.

We have headed towards Nelamangala and stopped at Kicchana halli mane for our breakfast. The breakfast here was very delicious and also affordable.

In Chikkamagaluru, we have booked a homestay which was near to Hirekolale lake and name of the stay was Hirekolale HomeStay. The accommodation and the food provided by the stay was good.  Our Lunch was ready when we reached the stay and we checked-in to the stay and freshened up and had our Lunch.

We have our plan to visit, Mullayanagari peak, Baba Budangiri and any one of the waterfalls [supposed to be Jhari or Manikyadhara] but we just had a time to visit Manikyadhara which was near to Baba Budan giri.

After completed our Lunch, we have decided to go to Mullayanagari[Highest peak in the state of Karnataka which was sitting at an altitude of 6300 ft]. Since we travelled in Tempo Traveller, the vehicle was unable to reach till the hilltop. So we have hired a jeep which charged Rs 100/person for up and down. Reached the hilltop by 5:30 PM and started climbing the steps to reach the highest peak. There were around 300 steps to reach the highest peak and there was a temple located on the hilltop. It was very beautiful view from the hilltop during that sunset. After spending decent time at Mullayanagari, we have headed towards our homestay and called off our day 1.

After spending few minutes, we headed towards Baba Budan giri and reached there by 08:30 AM and it was completely covered with fog. After reaching the Baba Budan giri, we have decided to go Manikyadhara Waterfalls, which was around 3 KMs from the Baba Budan giri hill. There are some local jeeps to take you to the waterfalls and they will charge upto Rs 150/person for up and down. Since we have decided to walk and started towards the water falls. One of the local driver advised us to reach the water falls through trek and the distance was less when compared to road but it was little bit slippery as the hill was completely covered with Fog and the clouds. We have finally reached a hill top by 10 AM and there is small lake on the way to Manikyadhara water falls and also a Viewpoint. We spent around 1 hour at the hilltop and had our breakfast in the nearby stall and reached to the parking area by 12 PM and reached our HomeStay by 1:30 PM.
