Theme for this year's book fair

Every year, a theme country is selected for the book fair and this year it was our neighbouring country Bangladesh. The theme reflects a mark of respect to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

About 50 publishers from Bangladesh had their books displayed at the special pavilion. The book fair also celebrated the birth centenary of Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence.

A myriad of book collection

About 580 Book publishers and 200 little magazines participated in the book fair. Books from various genres, non-fiction, and fiction related to thrillers, romance, classics, sci-fi, and many more were present at the stalls.

The two auditoriums - Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Hall 1) and Sri Aurobindo Ghosh (Hall 2) hosted books from English publications. A separate international complex was set up for bookstalls from countries like the USA, Italy, Japan, Mexico, France, Iran, etc.
