ROAD MAP

At 10 a.m. arrived njp and headed towards the hills in Xylo (contact is given below the post for budget car hiring). After one hour of the journey we touched teesta river and arrived at the spot of river rafting (group of 6 is best for the trip).

Next morning we had our breakfast at M.G Road and started our journey towards the heaven of Sikkim. The road from Gangtok to Lachen is a treat to your eyes.

Now, after the back breaking journey we finally reached Lachen. One of the highest residential places of India. The temperature was below zero so it is a place you should visit in your young age. Early morning we headed towards Gurudongmar Lake, the road was extremely dangerous and the car was slipping so we had to wait 2 to 3 hours for the sun to rise and melt the ice on the road. In the meanwhile we had maggie from army canteen and played with snow and had a gala time.

Meanwhile, ice melted and we followed our road and that was the moment we came to know that why its called heaven. Camera could not catch the actual beauty still some snaps may quench your thirst a bit.

And after all this we finally reached our destination

After the alluring view we travelled back to the hotel (had our lunch) and marched towards lachung. The road will surely give you adrenal rush.

The next morning after a heavy breakfast we depart for Yumthang and zero point. On the way we rented the snow boots, gloves because it's the day to enjoy the snow world.

Generally Yumthang valley looks more beautiful when it is covered by multicolored flours, but we were unfortunate as it was not the season. Still the valley looks very enchanting.

So it was the end of North Sikkim and headed back to Gangtok. This night was for the party in M.G road and cherish the last moment of the trip.

And finally next morning we rolled down to NJP and then took train for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
