Panchkunda ki chatris(cenotaphs) is a set of 46 cenotaphs. It is believed that the soul of the deceased person is the carried to heaven by these cenotaphs or its a medium.
Here, beautiful artistic chatris were built to preserve the memory of their ancestors by the the rulers.
Near the chatris are the monuments of Marwar rulers Rao Chunada, Rao Ranmal and Rao Ganga etc.
The chatri of Maharani SuryaKangar ji, the daughter of Naresh Pratap Singh ji of Jaipur, seems to be the most beautiful. The umbrella made in memory of her is very beautiful with architectural art With 32 pillars in the chatri and the small cenotaph of marble has been marked with a footprint inscribed in it.
The cenotaph of Jodhpur town founder Rao Jodha is in the enigma among these chatris because it is difficult to identify the cenotaph of Rao Jodha due to the destruction of inscriptions in Pachkunda.
