Things to do in/near Shoja

Jalori Pass: A picturesque place in Tirthan Valley located at almost 10,800ft above sea level, Jalori Pass is a tranquil place that serves as the starting point of some ecstatic treks in Himachal. A drive through 5 kilometers of broken roads from Shoja will lead you to this beautiful place. A picture perfect place for all selfie enthusiasts, this place is sure to wow you with its alluring views.

View from Jalori Pass

Serlosar Lake: A mere 5 kilometers trek from Jalori Pass will lead you this lake which remains completely frozen in winter. The lake has religious importance as it is dedicated to Mata Budhi Nagin who is worshipped by the locals with utmost belief. The trek is downhill and one of the easiest trek near Shoja.

A frozen Serlosar Lake

Raghupur Fort: If you are a History Buff, you must definitely try this trek from Jalori Pass. It was constructed by Rulers of Mandi to protect themselves from invaders. A good 3 kilometers from Jalori, the trek to this fort is a bit challenging than Serlosar Lake and is loaded with sharp curves, thick forest and Himalayas in the backdrop.

Waterfall Point: Barely a kilometer from Shoja, the waterfall point is a must visit place if you are planning a stay in the village. Do not miss the sunrise from the waterfall point. Birds chirruping, majestic mountains in the backdrop and a serene silence will welcome you on visiting the place.
